This project treats industrial production wastewater and domestic sewage generated by 66 textile printing and dyeing enterprises within the Puning Textile Printing and Dyeing Environmental Protection Comprehensive Treatment Center. It features a wastewater treatment capacity of 60,000 tons per day, with designed effluent quality meeting Class‑V criteria specified in the Surface Water Environmental Quality Standards. Recognized as a CCTV‑featured third‑party environmental governance case, the project was awarded among the Top 100 Ecological & Environmental Innovation Projects in 2020.
Project Overview
This large-scale centralized environmental project serves a concentrated textile industrial zone. KT Enviro undertook the complete EPC delivery, covering process design, equipment manufacturing, pipeline network construction, system installation and commissioning. Targeting high-concentration, complex-composition wastewater from textile printing and dyeing production, the project builds a complete centralized sewage collection and treatment system through supporting pipeline facilities, ensuring long-term stable and standard effluent discharge for the entire industrial park.
Project Background
Textile printing and dyeing wastewater features high COD, chroma and complex pollutants, which brings great challenges to centralized treatment for industrial clusters. In this project, scattered wastewater from multiple printing‑dyeing enterprises is collected via a large‑scale supporting pipeline network, and then treated uniformly in the central wastewater treatment plant. This centralized mode effectively avoids scattered pollution and reduces overall operation costs for the whole industrial park. Similar pollution challenges are widely seen in textile parks across Vietnam and Southeast Asia, and this project model can be fully replicated for overseas textile manufacturing zones.
Technical Solution
We adopted a combined physical‑chemical and biological treatment process tailored for printing and dyeing wastewater. The whole system includes wastewater collection pipeline network, pre‑treatment unit, biochemical treatment stage, advanced treatment unit and sludge disposal system. The supporting pipeline project realizes long‑distance sewage gathering from different factory workshops to the treatment plant, ensuring balanced inflow quality and quantity. Customized equipment configuration guarantees long‑term stable operation under fluctuating water quality conditions common in textile production.
