The Upgrading and Renovation Project of the Wastewater System at the Rudong Base of Jinhongye

The original wastewater treatment system of this project adopted the A/O treatment process, with a designed treatment capacity of 25,000 tons per day. After the paper mill reached full production capacity, the average daily discharge volume was 15,530 tons per day. After the renovation, the MBBR+MBR process was adopted, aiming to enhance denitrification and keep the total nitrogen in the effluent within 5mg/L. This is also the first time in the country that the MBR process has been widely applied in the papermaking industry, exploring a new approach for energy conservation and emission reduction of papermaking wastewater.
