Bridge-Type Sludge Scraper Overview
The machine travels along the sedimentation tank while continuously collecting settled sludge from the tank bottom. Depending on the application, the sludge can be removed using siphon suction, pump suction, or a combined pump-siphon system.
Applications of Bridge-Type Sludge Scrapers
Bridge-type sludge scrapers are widely used for sludge removal in horizontal-flow sedimentation tanks in municipal wastewater treatment plants, industrial wastewater treatment systems, and water supply facilities.
The siphon type uses a submersible pump together with an ejector or vacuum pump to create a siphon effect, discharging sludge using the liquid level difference between the sedimentation tank and the sludge collection trough.
The pump suction type directly extracts settled sludge through the pump.
While traveling along the tank, the machine continuously suctions sludge and discharges it outside, effectively removing accumulated sludge from the tank bottom and ensuring long-term stable operation of the sedimentation system.
The machine features a lightweight truss structure, significantly reducing its overall weight compared to traditional models. Key components are treated with anti-corrosion processes, ensuring no rusting for up to 5 years under normal conditions. All parts that come into contact with water are made of 304 stainless steel, greatly extending the service life.
It requires minimal maintenance, operates with low power consumption, and has low running costs. The selected pump system ensures stable and reliable performance.
An improved transmission mechanism prevents walking deviations between the two ends. The wheels are made of high-strength steel, further enhancing durability and operational stability.
